The Best Keto Chicken Quarter Dinners is one of my favorite categories. I prepare quarters all the time for my husband and I. One quarter consists of the leg and the thigh, which is more lean protein per dish. Quarters are also inexpensive and tender to the palate due to the dark meat. Below, I’ve put a list together of my favorite Keto Chicken-Quarter Dinners.

WHAT IS THE NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF KETO CHICKEN-QUARTER DINNERS?

Chicken quarters can come in a variety of sizes and weights. A six-ounce portion (170 frames) with bone-in and skinless possesses about 205 calories. Remember, that’s with no spices and/or sauces. A six-ounce quarter has 31 grams of lean protein, 8 grams of total fat, and 2 grams of saturated fat. The monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats come to 5 grams. This portion has zero carbohydrates, zero sugar, zero fiber, 135 mg of cholesterol, and only 75 grams of sodium.

WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF KETO CHICKEN-QUARTER DINNERS? 

The protein in chicken quarters helps grow muscles and repair tissues, maintaining the body’s overall function. The protein is rich in amino acids, particularly leucine. Leucine helps build muscle, making it great for athletes and people who want to stay strong.

As an excellent source of Vitamin B5 and B12, chicken quarters are important for our metabolism and nerve function.

WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS TO PREPARE KETO CHICKEN-QUARTER DINNERS?

Chicken quarters are a versatile and flavorful. Here are a few ways they can be:

· Air fried without oil for a crispy, golden skin.

· Roasted in a roasting pan in the oven with Keto-friendly vegetables and garlic.  

· Marinated, rubbed in spice and grilled on the BBQ. 

· Braised by searing in a pan and then simmering them in a flavorful broth, wine or sauce liquid until the meat is tender.

· Deep fried or pan-fried for a crispy, golden skin. Pan-frying is safer by using less oil.

· Slow cooked in a crock pot or Instant Pot. The flesh will fall off the bone!

· Infused with smoky flavors and barbecued.

· Added to stews and casseroles. 

· Added to curries.

It’s essential to cook your quarters at an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). This temperature ensures that you fully cook the flesh and make it safe to eat.. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature.

WHAT WINES HARMONIZE WITH KETO CHICKEN-QUARTER DINNERS?

White wine

Chicken quarters can harmonize with both a white and red wine. Choosing the ideal wine will depend on the other flavors from the spices and/or sauces in the dish. Chicken quarters with broth or white-based sauces work nicely with white wines. Chicken quarters in broth complement light, fruity whites like Sauvignon Blanc. If you’re serving chicken with creamy sauces, try pairing it with full-bodied white wines like barrel fermented and aged Chardonnay. If you’re adding chicken quarters to a tomato-based sauce, go for a light, fruity red, such as Pinot Noir. Heavier gravies work nicely with bigger, bolder reds like Merlot or Cabernet Franc.

This can slow fat burning and may cause your body to store carbs, fat, and protein as excess body fat.  Alcohol consumption also stimulates the appetite.  So, drink low-sugar, low-carb, and low alcohol wines in moderation.
