KETO LAZY CAESAR COBB SALAD
The Keto Lazy Cobb Salad is a dream-come-true. It’s loaded with protein and vegetables, nutrients, and minerals.
It all began in 1937 when restaurateur Robert Howard Cobb threw a bunch of leftovers in a bowl late one night. I would bet he was up late sipping wine with family or friends! Cobb put French dressing on the salad and viola! The Cobb Salad was born.
I eat a lot of Cobb salads on this KETO path. To eat different forms of nutrients and minerals from vegetables and proteins, I like to mix up the ingredients in this salad. Different salad dressings also add variety, flavor, nutrition. In this recipe, I use my super easy Caesars Salad dressing.

WHAT IS THE NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF THE KETO LAZY CAESAR DRESSING?
The dressing in this Keto Lazy Cobb Salad has 3 nutritional ingredients. Parmigiano-Reggiano is naturally low in fat, free of carbs, and lactose-free with loads of health benefits. It is an excellent source of protein and fat and is rich in vitamins and minerals like calcium, vitamin A, vitamins B6 and B12, phosphorus, zinc, and copper. Add a little MCT oil to the dressing for additional fat burning and brain-healthy qualities! The proteins in this salad are the important building blocks of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood. The vegetables you choose to incorporate will also add specific nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
WHAT IS THE TASTE PROFILE OF KETO LAZY CAESAR COBB SALAD?
The predominant taste sensations of this Keto Lazy Cobb Salad are tanginess from the tomatoes, saltiness from the bacon and dressing, and umami from the dressing and proteins. The mouth feel is creamy from the avocado, as well as the dressing.
WHAT NON ALC WINE HARMONIZES WITH KETO LAZY CAESAR COBB SALAD?
Is there a non alcoholic wine to partner with this Keto Lazy Cobb Salad? The tanginess, saltiness, and umami being the predominant building blocks, choose a fuller, white, non alcoholic wine to stand up to the proteins and dressing or a light, fruity red wine that has enough weight and complexity to stand up to the same elements. A creamy de-alcholized Chardonnay or light and fruity de-alcholized Pinot Noir (chilled for about a half-hour in the refrigerator) will do the trick!
Zero Alcohol Wine Tips:
ALCOHOL AND KETOSIS:
To support your Keto diet or low-carb lifestyle, opt for quality, non-alcoholic wines that are low-carb and low in sugar. Additionally, alcohol does not align with a keto diet or low-carb lifestyle. Moreover, your liver processes alcohol before nutrients, pausing ketone creation and slowing the ketosis process. Furthermore, your body will metabolize alcohol as fuel before utilizing food, which can decelerate fat burning and may lead to the storage of carbs, fat, and protein as excess body fat. Moreover, alcohol consumption stimulates the appetite, potentially causing overeating.
ALCOHOL AND HEALTH:
Did you know that when you consume alcohol, your liver has to work extra hard to break it down? This can result in damage to your liver. Furthermore, it can elevate your risk of health issues such as inflammation and cancer, particularly with heavy consumption. Additionally, alcohol can disrupt your blood sugar levels, leaving you feeling dehydrated and disrupting your body’s normal functions.
NON-ALCOHOLIC WINE AND HEALTH BENEFITS:
Non-alcoholic wines with minimal carbs and sugar are advantageous for your health. They not only aid in weight management, blood sugar control, and hydration but also contain essential nutrients and antioxidants from grapes that can decrease your risk of health conditions like heart disease. Consequently, since they lack alcohol, they’re ideal for socializing without any adverse effects, promoting feelings of happiness and reduced stress.
